They will be responsible for setting the tone for the guest experience and for providing them with a Welcome Home atmosphere.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Greet and interact with guests upon arrival for dinner service Ensure that all requests and dietary special needs have been communicated to the Dining Room prior to service Be responsive and proactive to guest needs Set the tone & atmosphere in the foyer for guest arrival Have an open body language and accessible personality Have a positive and outgoing attitude both with guests and other departments on the property Prepare all opening and closing paperwork per the daily responsibilities Fully understand and master the following software systems:
Open Table, Opera, Active Networks, Microsoft Office Fully understand how to navigate drive to access documents needed for daily service Correct and adjust menus according to the Executive Chefs needs daily Print menus and prepare host stand for service Communicate all internal information regarding guests to the Dining Room Manager Must be able to work well with other team members and managers Remain calm under high-pressure situations Must be guest focus orientated Escort guests rather than pointing Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent preferred 2-4 years experience in restaurants required 2 years experience in Microsoft Office Experience working with the general public LANGUAGE SKILLS Must have excellent verbal communication skills Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and guests MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic knowledge and understanding of math REASONING ABILITY Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs Must be able to be on feet for a long period of time Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart WORK ENVIRONMENT Dining Room, Bar and Kitchen areas 4,200 acres of Blackberry Farm property Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain are joined together with our core belief that our teams are at the heart of all we do.
